Both remove marks automatically. One is built around stock watermarks and file formats; the other around text. Checked against their pricing and FAQ pages in November 2026.
WatermarkRemover.io (built by PixelBin) is a watermark remover first: upload, it detects the mark, it fills it, done. Their free path is a two-a-day trial without an account and 3 credits after sign-up; batch work sits on the commercial plans, and the product advertises images, PDFs up to 25 pages and video up to two minutes.
PixPurge is text-first. A watermark is treated as a badge or a set of letters, which means the same button also clears captions, date stamps and screenshot labels — the things people usually end up removing by hand afterwards.
Neither is unconditionally better. For a stack of stock-style watermarks and a commercial plan, theirs is aimed exactly at that. For one photo where several kinds of text have to go at once, ours is the shorter route.
WatermarkRemover.io details are what their own pages listed in November 2026. Plans change; check before you buy.
| What matters | PixPurge | WatermarkRemover.io |
|---|---|---|
| One-click watermark removal | Text and badges are found automatically and cleared in one pass; brush and box tools cover the cases where only part of the frame should change. | Yes — auto detection is the core of the product. Upload, it finds the watermark, it removes it. Manual marking is not the usual path. |
| Account needed | Yes — a free account carries your credits and your results. | You can try about two images a day without an account; signing up gives 3 free credits and unlocks the rest. |
| Free tier | 10 credits at sign-up; a 720p removal costs 3, so roughly three images, then paid plans. | 3 free credits after sign-up, plus the two-a-day unregistered trial. After that it is credits: packs start around $8.99 for 30, subscriptions from about $45 a year. |
| Batch work | One image at a time. No batch queue. | Bulk image removal is offered on their commercial plans; the free tier is single images. |
| File types | JPG, PNG, WebP, HEIC up to 10MB — images only. | Images (png, jpeg, jpg, webp, heic), plus PDF up to 25 pages and video up to 2 minutes. We have not tested their PDF or video output ourselves, so treat that as their claim, not our result. |
| Watermark on results | None. The cleaned image downloads as-is. | No badge we are aware of on paid credits; we have not run every free path, so we are not vouching for it. |
| Removing text as well as watermarks | Text-first: captions, date stamps, screenshot labels and product copy come off in the same pass as a watermark. | Built around watermarks and logos. Plain body text can be caught by the same fill, but text removal is not what the product is framed around. |
| Licence to remove the mark | Only your own images, your own products, or supplier photos you are licensed to edit. | Their own FAQ says watermark-free images should not be used commercially without the owner's consent — the same line we draw. |
Three steps, about a minute. No card, no download, nothing to install.
Their tool lives at a watermark-remover domain; ours is the home page of PixPurge. Sign-up brings 10 credits.
Images only — JPG, PNG, WebP, HEIC. No PDF pages, no video frames: those are the formats they handle and we do not.
The mark is gone and nothing is stamped over it. If the fill looks soft over texture, brush that patch and run it once more.
